Colour of the Year 2018

Pantone 18-3838 ULTRA VIOLET,

Each year a colour is chosen based on what is trending, what is predicted across the design world, used by leading brands and also reflects 'our needs'.

This year is an 'enigmatic', unconventional violet that smacks of 'counterculture' and has a 'spiritual' quality. Sounds perfect to me as a concept, though I for one am not a great fan of purple buy loved it in the 70s.

Top Tip:

Always choose colours you love in your home not what is trending in the glossy mags and paint stores.
